The Liaison Office is funded by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology, the European Union and the Ionian University.
More specifically, the Liaison Office:

- Creates databases of organisations, institutions, enterprises and researchers.
- Informs organisations and enterprises of ways to use research applications and university services.
- Takes all the necessary steps and initiatives that correspond to the needs of a modern society and the job market.
- Secures researchers' copyrights and financial rights on the signing of contracts.
