LIBRARY AND INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES

The Department of History has its own specialist library consisting of more than 16,500 books in Greek and other languages. This collection is supplemented by 175 periodical titles (40 in Greek, 135 in other languages). The library covers all the humanities in terms of subject matter, with special emphasis on history, Greek, European and Mediterranean. It also operates as a lending library for the members of the university community, offering direct access to the stacks.

Faculty and students also have access to the very rich historic Corfiot archives and the libraries of the Reading Society and the Society for Corfiot Studies. In addition, the Department of History has:
