Prof. Karagiorgos' publications include A Greek-English Dictionary of Idiomatic Expressions (1992), A Short History of English Literature (in Greek, 1992), Shakespeare Studies (in Greek, 1992; in English, 1995), Confusing Words in English (1996), The Use of Prepositions (1997), An English-Greek Conference Terminology (1997), Theodore of Tarsus: the Greek Archbishop of Canterbury (668-690) (1998), and From Homer to Elytis, a bilingual anthology of Greek poetry (forthcoming).
His translation publications include Wace & Thompson, The Nomads of the Balkans (1989), Terence Spencer, Fair Greece, Sad Relic (1990), Lawrence Durrell, Prospero’s Cell (1994), Byron, The Curse of Minerva (1995), Beowulf (1996), a verse translation of the Anglo-Saxon epic for which he received the prize of the Greek Literary Translators Association. He has also published translations from English and American literature.
He is a member of the National Association of Greek Writers, the Greek Literary Translators Association, and of the Greek Byron Society.
