Why has the Liaison Office been established?
The Ionian University, and in particular its Research Committee, has founded the Liaison Office in order to promote in a systematic way its research work to organisations and the private sector, as well as to co-operate with them at national and European level,. The Liaison Office is funded by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology, the European Union and the Ionian University.
More specifically, the Liaison Office:
- Promotes university research work and co-operation with organisations and the private sector by issuing leaflets and organising meetings and events that bring the University into direct contact with them.
- Creates databases of organisations, institutions, enterprises and researchers.
- Informs organisations and enterprises of ways to use research applications and university services.
- Takes all the necessary steps and initiatives that correspond to the needs of a modern society and the job market.
- Secures researchers' copyrights and financial rights on the signing of contracts.
