Interested in working in Canada for 5 months in a Canadian company?

The Canadian Embassy in Athens is pleased to announce that the European Commission has renewed the Acadia Programme for the years 2001-2002.

The Acadia programme offers an opportunity for young European graduates to acquire knowledge of Canadian business culture and management practices. Every year, 24 young EU Member State university graduates are selected for a five-month internship placement in a Canadian company in Canada. Each internship includes a two-day preparation seminar in Brussels.

You may be eligible to apply if you:

  • are a young university graduate less than 28 years old;
  • are a national of a European Union Member State;
  • have good working knowledge of English and/or French;
  • are unemployed and with no experience of work;

Candidates who have already participated in other European Union internship programmes are not eligible.

Interns will be given a grant of 6700 Euro that will cover the expenses of participating in the seminar in Brussels, travel to and from Canada, accommodation, food expenses and insurance.

If you are interested in applying, you must send your C.V. with a completed application form before FEBRUARY 8, 2002.
